Though the manager is managing people, managing products, coordinating events, protecting the environments, still he may face many problems in his day to day activities. Problem solving involves lots of research methodologies. But managers utilize applied research instead of the fundamental or basic research.

The applied research techniques like measures of central tendancy, mean, median, mode, chi squaretest, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) tables, Karl pearson coefficient of correlation r, Spearmans Rank Correlation R will all be used.
