A Press conference report for a revenue generating event.
An advisory note was sent to the members of the press inviting them to attend the news conference. A committee that was formed to ensure the letter reached to many media houses. The note addressed the aim of the conference, the venue and the day of the press release. A paper having a drawing of the directions was attached to the advisory note. There was also an outline of the real happenings of the actual day. There was also a person who was mandated in writing the list of those who were to attend including their phone numbers email addresses and all their contacts. The invitation was made through advertisements. The announcements were made on the radios, TVs, and the newspapers. There were also invitations done on the social media pages such as Facebook and Twitter. On the invitation note was also the agenda of the conference, the venue and the date of the event (prhelper, 2016).
There was another group in the program who were to determine who were the real audience of the event. It was concluded that the members of the press were to occupy the largest part of the public. Measures were put in place to ensure that the journalists will be allowed to ask questions regarding the issue. There was a technical team that was to make sure that the public address was okay to ensure that the audience does not struggle when listening. A committee was formed to make sure that there is enough money to cater for the event. Enough funding was allocated to ensure the photographers will be able to take photos in the events. Sufficient space was also assigned to carry as many audiences as possible. Money for making the podium look as good as possible was also raised and was very well allocated. This was to ensure that the public will be able to see the speaker well and be able to ask questions.
To ensure everyone will feel at home, a group of people that was to provide the audience was to be treated in the best manner. Soft drinks were bought to cater for the public during the day. There was also a group to provide free snacks to the audience during the press conference. On the checklist was the means and devices of storing the information. Flash disks, memory cards among other devices were bought to ensure that the photos and other valuable information were stored well. To provide the press kit was impactful, a crew that made sure that news people can be able to access full information about the conference. Some funds were also set aside for some artists who were to perform at the event. There were gifts bought to give out to give out to the audiences. This was to make them remember that unique day that they were given gifts during a press conference (prhelper, 2016).
Another thing that was that was considered was the set of the dais. It was fixed in a way that the view was clear to everyone in attendance. The good view of the dais was also to ensure a good background of the photos taken. The arrangement of the room was in away that there were same seats on both sides of the chamber. The room was good, and I liked it. There was also an audio and a video recorder to ensure that the footage was to be recorded in the right and a transparent manner. Lastly, I conducted a do the run show for the day of the press conference. I did this by listing the happenings of the conference a minute after a minute. After listing them, I reviewed them ready for the presentation day.
My proposal for the event was on the selling f raffle tickets. This is a revenue raising event for many organizations. This method has helped most of the organizations in which they are applied. This is because it can be difficult to obtain people who could be willing to sponsor the team. I considered some organizations in which the method has been successful such as the heart diseases walk, beyond zero campaign among others. Organizational dinner for friends and relatives was conducted for those who could be willing to donate goods for auctioning.
This method of revenue raising will succeed because most people are more than ready to support the charitable organization. On the other hand, most people would like to help the good work of helping that is done by the organization. To ensure the success of this program, I consulted the authorities in identifying the laws that go with this method of raising funds. Lastly, I formed a meeting with other project members to ensure where and how the event was to be done. This was to make sure that the event was successful (AGLC, 2015).
