SMART Goals

An effective manner of making goals more powerful is through the use of SMART mnemonic as it engages specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound. This initiative is essential to have value and is critical in creating personal development schemes as it enables a person to come up with effective priorities. One will be able to come up with precise objectives, times and amounts that are measurable and essential in meeting the set goals and objectives (Morisano et al. 2010). The other value of using this criterion is that it allows for the creation of realistic goals as it is useful for one to come up with goals that he or she can achieve. Various sorts of people for instance workers and employers can end up setting unrealistic goals that cannot be reached or attained. Therefore, through smart goals, in a personal opinion, has been an essential keeping operational goal achievable thus giving an opportunity for reward.
