Office politics occurs when employees begin to use their power in the wrong way in order to gain undue concentration and to become popular at the place of work. The conditions that may result in office politics are numerous. They include: Individuals who aspire to come in the limelight without doing much will tend to depend on office politics in order to achieve their goal. Personal relationships that may occur among the employees may also lead to office politics especially when people tend to support their neighbours, friends and relatives at the place of work. Blame games occur when people in the workplace speak anyhow without taking note of the impact of their words. This may lead to office politics. Lack of trust among the employees were some fears that their secrets may be disclosed by their close friends and finally gossips among employees (Salin, 2013). Organization politics is very crucial as it helps employees to interact amongst themselves.
