What are the benefits of a class action lawsuit from a plaintiff’s perspective? What about from a defendant’s perspective?

Advantages of a Class Action

From a plaintiff’s viewpoint, a class action lowers costs, trouble and encourages timelines in the decision of several claims. The economies made available by the class action enables for the trial of claims engaging a lesser amount of controversy. A class action economically allows some individuals to band together and to contest operations that are directed at a particular group (Bondi, 2010). Through using a class action, the plaintiff’s attorneys can both operate on a contingency fee basis while simultaneously engaging in the most significant possible evaluation of the status of the plaintiff’s claims. On the defendant’s perspective, it allows for bigger uniformity as a defendant and others in similar situations are not left wondering on how to follow the law since only a single decision was issued.
