Watching a Movie at Home Is Better Then at the Cinema Essay

Some people think watching movie in a cinema is better. Other think watching movies at home is better. Which do you prefer? Nowadays, many people prefer watching movie in a cinema. They believe that the cinema has a better atmosphere to enjoy the movie. However, from my perspective, people who watch movie at home are indeed happier and freer than people who choose the cinema. In addition, people who watch movie at home are more comfortable. Contrary to the fact that you have to book the ticket in advance in order to have a better position, there is no need for people at home to worry about the ticket.

They can enjoy movie at any time they want, and at any position they like. There is the possibility that they can watch movie at midnight or at six o`clock in the morning. Furthermore, people who prefer watching movie at home wouldn`t have to face any traffic problem. No people want to spend the same time on the way they go to the cinema and watching movie.

I believe that the comfort at home is so appealing and admirable for people. Besides that, people who watch movie at home have more freedom.

Understandably, in the cinema, we cannot go outside and do something personal because movie don`t wait us. Especially in some high- speed movie, if we miss part of the movie, we may are not able to understand the movie. Another problem is cinema just provide snake such as pop corn or Coca-cola. That is really simple. However, we would not have to worry about them. First, we are free at home. We can pause the movie any time we want in order to do other things, or even can we repeat part of the movie when we confuse about some details.

Then we have more choices on snakes too such as fruit and cake. There is the possibility to watch movie during the dinner. Suffer with much more limitation; people who go to cinema are not so free compared with who stay at home. Admittedly, most expert consider that cinema provide the best condition for watching movie. However, with the good equipment at home, we still have the chance to appreciate the movie. As far as I am concerned, watching movie is relaxed. Cinema may just provide a best condition to watch movie not the best way to enjoy the movie.

I insist that watching movie at home is better. When I compare watching movies in the cinema and watching movies at home, I noticed there are some distinct similarities and differences between the two. First of all, there are some differences about these two ideas. When one is watching movies at home, one can take a break anytime he wants; however, in the cinema, the movie is shown without any break. Secondly, at home when one is watching a movie, he can control the volume as he likes; but this cannot be done in the cinema.

Also, one has a designated seat in the cinema, and he can’t sit somewhere else; while at home, one can sit anywhere he prefers to. Since the cinema is a public place, one should not be making major noises while others are concentrating in the movie. In the comfort of one’s home, silence is not really required. While in the cinema, one can feel that the atmosphere around him changes when the huge screen show the very tiniest detail in a movie, but at home, the TV doesn’t create the same effect since the screen is not huge.

There are some similarities as well. One can eat snacks in the cinema and in his house when he’s watching a movie. In both places, food is not prohibited. In addition, both of the ideas contain the action of spending money. One needs to but a movie ticket at the cinema to go in; and when one wants to watch a movie at home, he needs to buy the DVD. Nowadays, even DVDs have surround sound effect so not only in the movies, one can experience surround sound echoing in the room.

In conclusion, there are lots of similarities and differences between watching movies at our own comfortable house and watching movies at the cinema. There are similarities in eating snacks, experiencing surround sound and spending money on watching movies at home and at the cinema. The main points on the differences are whether volume can be adjusted, big screen is available and whether the seats are designated. Furthermore, these distinct similarities and differences between watching a movie at home and watching a movie at the cinema are one of the many comparisons we make in our life today.
