Lets go to Cuba
Closed off to the world for decades, this destination has breath-taking natural beauty, old fashioned colonial buildings, lively 1950s vibe, and pristine beaches; Cuba is a honeymoon hotspot to discover.
Havana
Walk hand in hand on the cobbled streets of Havana, admiring old colonial building, whilst gazing at the old American cars and then have lunch at Hemmingways Old Haunt, the Bodeguita Del Medio.
Havana is a colorful city made to watch, bursting with colonial architecture and museums to historic forts and beautiful Spanish style mansions, take time to listen to the loud Rumba music. Take a vintage cab to La Habana Vieja, tour the cigar factory, the Partagas and Romeo y Julieta factories and after a day of sightseeing spend some time together on Havana beach, Playas Del Este whilst sipping on the famous mojito or daiquiri.
Santiago de Cuba
Located on the Southeast end of this Caribbean Island, Santiago has a strong Spanish colonial feel and is known for its music, dance and beautiful beaches. Roam through the Cespedes Park, where you will see the fascinating Cathedral Church whilst listening to the corner musicians.
If your honeymoon is in July you will enjoy the Fiesta del Caribe as it moves through the streets to the sounds of rumba beats along with fantastic costumes. Serenade your better half with romantic ballads at the famous venue Casa de la Trova. Dont forget to hike Cubas highest peak, La Gran Piedra (The Big Rock) and sip your way into the future at the summit.
Trinidad
This is the most historic city in Cuba. Built in the 19th century by slaves and the sugar trade it is a true destination for honeymooners and is only accessible on foot or horseback. Hire a horse from the locals and go on an adventure on the cobblestone streets gazing at the still brightly colored iconic building and then visit the idyllic sugarcane fields around Trinidad, finding your way to Vegas Grande or Caburni Waterfall where you take a romantic swim in the wonderful cave pool. I recommend a visit to picturesque Plaza Mayor or learn some salsa at the Casa de la Cultura, its a great way to romantically spend time together and have fun at the same time and for breath-taking romantic sunsets go to Playa Ancon beach.
Lets honeymoon on The Trans-Siberian Railroad
This exciting journey puts three of the worlds largest countries directly at your fingertips, enjoy the dramatic landscapes of Europe and Asias most beautiful regions! This is a dream of a lifetime on the tracks experiencing Russia, Mongolia, and China.
The legendary Trans-Siberian Railroad is one of the greatest travel adventures of our age. The heart of the Trans-Siberian Railroad lies between Moscow and Beijing with stops in Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Lake Baikal, and Ulan Bator. Visit Beijings Forbidden City, the Great Wall of China and the Gobi Desert, Mongolian nomad settlements and Russias two Kremlins.
Love in Dubai
A Cosmopolitan City, barren beauty of the desert with a fuse of native Arabian traditions and the luxury of the West, Dubai is also a cultural melting. With a number of luxury hotels and resorts to choose from, including the iconic Burj Al Arab which boasts not just 5 but 7 stars, you are spoilt for choice and make the perfect honeymoon spot.
Idyllic Zanzibar
Idyllic and Conservative Island off the coast of Tanzania, natural and pristine and far from the maddening crowds giving you the right settings to connect and rekindle old age love. This island has so much to offer from the Stone Town, Saffron farms, true African villages and dolphin watching tours.
Romantic Botswana
For a true African safari romantic experience, this is your place. It has the most stunning contrasts in the landscapes from the barren and hot Kalahari Desert to the rich Okavango Delta which comes to life when it rains. This is definitely a true honeymoon holiday spot for nature lovers.
A Honeymoon should not be an afterthought to the newlyweds but rather the time should be enough to allow them to spend a good amount of time in each place to really get to know it and immerse them in the destination whilst enjoying their love and companionship.
