Answer:- The four most important functions of management are:-

1)Planning

2) Organizing

3) Directing

4) Controlling

Planning :- Look before you leap. That means this is fundamental step in management. With out planning what ever is done will be left uncordinated.

Organizing :-It implies bringing every thing to one place. Resources being applied for business are scares and have alternative uses. so next important step in management is to organize the resources as your plan demands.

Directing:-Its the principle job expected from the manager. There should be continuous supervision and evaluation of orders issued. Getting right things done is expected here.

Controlling :-Last but not the least we need to check whether things are going as planned. otherwise early action has to be taken. This process of controlling is a continuous exercise.
