In hotel business the main revenue is rent received from hotel rooms.In addition to this the other ways in which hotels can generate revenue include

a) Sale of Food and Beverage: Hotels can make higher revenue from food and beverage and which is direct related to the guests in the hotel.Hence hotels should design discounted offers in non busy hours and increase revenue.

b) Sale of necessary branded products: Revenue can be increased by making available for purchase of products related and necessary during travel and stay in hotels.some these products include towels, linens and shampoos.

c) Point-of-sale : Hotels should use front desk to make point of sale opportunities and increase revenue by sale of gifts, sell tickets, rent cars, and letter openers, etc.

d) Hosting business and private functions: This is another major area in which hotels should concentrate and increase revenue which include selling space for social events, business gatherings, reunions,etc.
