Graphical rating scales,  behaviorally anchored rating scales, forced choice scales and mixed standards scales are the four types of behavioural based appraisal system.

Graphical rating scales is a sliding scale which ranges from excellent to poor as per their behaviour, average will be placed in the centre, were poor in the bottom and excellent in the top.

Behaviorally anchored rating scales is a score based evaluation as like pass or fail based on their behaviour.

Forced choice scale is the ranking based which has comments like need to improve, above average, excellent, poor beased on their behaviour.

Mixed standard scale is the mix of all of the above
