What is one area of your organization or department where you can make the biggest difference in performance? Look at the holistic model as discussed in the course text. I work as Operations Manager at Colgate Palmolive. The biggest difference can be made at Operations department itself by using holistic knowledge management. Currently, we are learning after.
The problems occurred in day to day operation are noted down and reviewed for reason. It helps to improve the condition and avoid same problem from repeating in future. The method used in called “Rolling RCA”.
In this, employees who faced the issue in running the machine sit with shift in charge to discuss the problem. The root cause analysis is carried and details captured. The learning or training module is prepared and shared with team.
The people involved are all lines associates/workers, shift in charge, Area leader for department, Human resource person
Yes, there is Training and Development team (TNI) who takes care of all the training module developed and ensures that training is given to all the workers in different shift and record is maintained. Also, after a fixed interval, refresher training is given.
