Push strategy involves bringing products to the consumers. Here, products are pushed upon the consumers. Example of effective push strategies is the products being sold in the retail stores such as Wal-Mart. Top brands as well as the white label brands are kept in the shelf and sales people attract customers towards the products and encourage them to buy the product. The store also gets the incentives to promote the brands.
Pull strategy involves attracting customer towards the products and services and encourage them to demand the specific products and services. Example of a pull strategy includes the travel and tourism agencies giving ads in newspapers, magazines and digital marketing channels. It gradually builds brand recognition and people make demand of the services of the particular travel and tourism agency. As a result, the agency becomes able to sell the package to many interested people.
