I like Apple Inc. whose vision statement is written as below:-
“We believe that we are on the face of the earth to make great products and that’s not changing. We are constantly focusing on innovating. We believe in the simple not the complex. We believe that we need to own and control the primary technologies behind the products that we make, and participate only in markets where we can make a significant contribution. We believe in saying no to thousands of projects, so that we can really focus on the few that are truly important and meaningful to us. We believe in deep collaboration and cross-pollination of our groups, which allow us to innovate in a way that others cannot. And frankly, we don’t settle for anything less than excellence in every group in the company, and we have the self- honesty to admit when we’re wrong and the courage to change.”
The main reasons for liking the vision statement of Apple Inc are as below:-
- The company focuses on innovating new products which can add value o the life of human being and it somehow helps in upgrading the life of a common man.
- In the vision statement, they have mentioned that they would like to target in that market where they think that they can make some difference as it is the responsibility of the ethical organisation to compete with other firms for making some positive changes in the society.
- Apple has a vision of producing only limited categories of products so that they can create benchmark in quality and technological achievements. The company tries to achieve this with the help of collaboration and cross pollination of different groups which will develop the feeling of team sprit among the employees and remove cultural, sexual, ethnic discriminations.
- The vision statement also reflect the social responsibility and honesty of Apple Inc. as it has one of its vision to admit their mistakes if they ever commit it.
