Organizational barriers are the hurdles in the way of an effective communication flow. It may be of regarding the rules and policies, structure, hierarchical set up, growth avenues to employees, rigid policy of management, autocratic leadership, low motivation to employees and unethical business process and policies etc.
Due to these barriers , a manager may feel many challenges to apply the system approach to management. The input to process then output or results may get hindrance due to various communication obstacles or stoppage in communication flow.
If the organizational hierarchy is too rigid and work flow and communication flow will not maintained then no manager can achieve its operational goals. The communication must be adopted as free flow or open channel communication so as to remove the gap or obstacles in flow of crucial information or speedy decision making.
The system in organizational context is the integrated part of people , process, technology, equipment, program , procedures, strategy and behavior concerns to achieve some specific goals.
So to achieve this goals all the barriers must be removed.
Leadership should be participative style and totally avoid rigid or autocratic style as it leads to communication in a one way process. So any sustainable change objectives can not be achieved until the participative leaders appraoch will not applied.
