The authors contend that the FRP (Federal Response Plan) should be recreated, with FEMA returned to the role of directing the federal emergency response effort. Do you agree or disagree with this assessment? Explain your answer.
Let us first quickly understand what exactly FRP and FEMA are. FRP which is better known as federal response plan is basically analyzed and made to use by and agency located in US i.e. Federal Emergency Management Agency to make the reactions and activities received from the management and government end in sync to unfortunate disaster or emergency states or circumstances. Many natural calamities are listed on which FRP actually works, some of them are Earthquakes, Volcanic eruptions etc.
I agree with the proposal that FRP should be revised and should be updated (recreated) as FEMA is now giving directions to the response effort. Earlier it was not the case, things have changed, definitions have changed, circumstances under which it was created has changed and hence there is a need to recreate it to make it more meaningful and robust.
