1. It helps the employers to check the incidences like social loafing during the work hours
2. This helps in monitoring the unethical practises like trolling someone on social media , sexual harassment and so on
3. This helps in stopping the misuse of the company’s property and resources like internet
4. This helps in identifying the wrong behaviours of the employees at workplace, during business trips and also at home. The unethical or unlawful behaviour of the employees at any of these places can bring bad image for the company.

Cons

1. It is against the principle of privacy
2. It harms the motivation levels of the employees as they may think that company do not trust them
