The correct hybridizations of the C and N in Uric Acid are?
MY ANSWER:
I put, C as sp2 because it only has three sigma bonds. Additionally, I put the Nitrogen as sp2 because it has only three sigma bonds, and only three because its lone pair is delocalized and participates in resonance?
THEIR ANSWER:
They said this was wrong and that you have to include the lone pair in the hybridization of N, so that the answer was C as sp2 and N as sp3?
Am I correct?
