Must post first. The purpose of this discussion is to discover elected officials or candidates’ positions on health care issues. Do a search using your favorite searchable database such as “Google.” Type in “John Thune on health care” or “Barack Obama on health care”, for example. (Use your own people!) The purpose for the search will be to find the stance of our elected officials on healthcare issues. Choose at least two people and compare and contrast their views. Once you have read information on your two political choices, please do the following on the board: List the candidates (at least two) that you chose to investigate. List the major points of their proposed health care views. Discuss what is similar and different. State what you think may work or not work. Did you find any doublespeak or lack of clarity? Please remember to be polite in your discussion as each person may have their own thoughts on political candidates and/or current elected officials.
