The main motive of cyberterrorism is to invoke fear in the society and the government.It is cyber attack using computers ,internet and other networking devices thereby causing fear,destruction and creating terror inorder to presue ideological and other political goals. It is targeated towards a nation or society.

Cyber-crime is an act of offence which is committed against individuals or organization using internet and other network devices with the motive of personal gain. It is targeted towards individual or organization to cause physical, and financial harm thereby obtaining personal advantage.

Hence we can conclude that motive of cyberterrorism is to invoke fear while cyber crime is conducted to make personal gain.
