Explain the difference between Simulation mode and Real Time mode.
Expert Answer
Solution:
Simulation mode:
- Simulation mode is the feature of packet tracer.
- It’s not available when we are not connected to the multi-user connection, but it allows us to do the job by saving your file and remote network’s user file then you can work on it.
- There is a new window which is present in simulation mode possessing the Event List and Play Controls. The play controls can be used to observe the packets moving by forwarding one discrete time. If the expected packets are not visible, the desired packets can be displayed using Event Filters.
Real Time mode:
- Real time mode is also a feature of packet tracer.
- In real time mode, we can see the packets flowing in real time.
- Like simulation mode, it is not possible in real time mode to run network scenarios.
