When some risk is identified it needs to be mitigated and in order to so we can go through the way of some policies guidelines or we can say procedures and this process is called as procedural security. This process relies on user to follows some protocol or act on some predefined steps.
Example like a floppy disk having highly confidential data, now identified risk of losing such sensitive data now we need some predefined steps in order to mitigate it like we can have a step in place once this floppy is of no more use then don’t just dump it completely destroy it.
