Expert Answer

Working in a Team is a challenge if there is no bonding or understanding within the team and vice versa.

The worst experience: – We were working for a project where in we need to recruit subject matter experts for certain subjects. The trainers were there to give a brief session on the subject, the expert has chosen. Every week around 10 subject matter experts were to be recruited for 2 months. So the total subject matter experts to be recruited were 80.

In the first two week the target was achieved but then 2 subjects were changes but the recruiter was same. As a result of this the recruiters didn’t chance there approach nor were they trained for the changed subject. Thus they were demoralized, and target was not achieved.

It was challenging as well as unsatisfying as we failed to achieve the target. The main reason behind was that the goal was changed in between, although the overall goal remained the same but with the change of the subject there was shift in the process, as the recruiter didn’t have much knowledge about the subject and were not able to explain the process to the expert. Ultimately the trust between the team members was broken as the trainers for the changed subject were idle; also the discipline of the team was broken.

The best experience as a team member was when we were to analyze the recruitment process and figure out the best 3 recruiter for incentives every week. We were a team of 4 members, the team leader was well experienced and he divided the work based on our skills. I was good at excel so; my main work was to maintain a proper dashboard of each recruiter. One had a good presentation skill so he made the power point presentation that was to be send to managers. As the team leader was quite experience, all of us had a many things to learn , with every change in the process a proper meeting was conducted and also one to one session as to what we need to do. This way the focus in achieving the goal was never lost. The vision on the team was clearly explained and maintained.

Every member in the team respected each other and there a good competitive environment within us. Also individuals efforts were always appreciated .The goal of team was achieved well before time.
