1. Describe how SMP/E process a FUNCTION SYSMOD ,how it processes a PTF SYSMOD and how it processes a APAR sysmod?
SMP/E process a FUNCTION SYSMOD:
-> SMP/E is used to manange multiple software versions
-> SMP/E is used for mainframe systems.
-> SMP/E is a single program which is executed to run as a background job.
-> it uses a concept called as Receive-Apply-Accept.
-> SMP/E Receive a command it process a SYSMOD from outside the SMP.
-> The Receive process is used to create an entry for each SYSMOD.
-> It is used to store the information in SYSMOD data.
-> command used for Apply, single SYSMOD can be selected by SYSMOD ID, or gropu of SYSMOD can be selected
-> command for accept, it is used to install the SYSMOD into the libraries and this will mark with the status as permanent.
-> Function are used to unload the SYSMOD by using the APAR, PTF, USERMODE
-> when ever this is used it is used to unload the SYSMOD and SMP/E will process the function to SYSMOD to unload the data
-> SYSMOD is used to specify an operand, then SMP/E assumes that the SYSMOD entries should be unloaded and it should process the entered SYSMOD
processes a PTF SYSMOD:
-> The SYSMOD is used the concept called as Receive-Apply-Accept.
-> When the SYSMOD receives a command Receive, then it stores the libraries in temporary storage.
-> the process of storing the data in temporary storage is called as PTS
-> This is used to hold the data in PTF as received.
processes a APAR sysmod:
-> APAR, This is used to indicate that SMP/E used to list the APAR SYSMOD.
-> When APAR is used as a function then its list out the SYSMOD that matches with any one of the specified.
-> This operand is used to list out the SYSMOD.
-> SMP/E is used to process the SYSMOD whether the APAR exists or not.
