yes, majority of the employers are interested to implement affirmative action plans in their organizations. it does not mean that all the emloyers are going to be follow it, but majority of employers follow this. it is the process of positive discrimination of employees at work place based on some characteristics. suppose, we can not treat both employees in the same way where one is a common man like you and me, the other is physically handicaped. there should be a discrimination, which both people feels that they are only winners.
the discrimination may be based on gender, minority category, and other segments in the society who are neglected by governemnts and strugles with social decisons. what ever the actions taken by a firm must help them to enjoy a better positon in the sociey and at work place than before. it makes them feel comfortable and over a period of time the layers can be demolished.
