(250 word minimum): Discuss the main differences between health care options offered in the United States and one other country discussed in the text. How will these differences affect companies’ ability to compete with other companies worldwide?
Expert Answer
Health care options in the United States and other country are different in several aspects:
- In US there is a lot of automation of all process, where as in most of the world health care is still done manually
- In the US the cost of health care is very high and most of the costs are borne through insurance coverage, and it is expected that anyone trying to get higher levels of health care needs to have an insurance to avail the services. At the same time in many countries the health care is provided to the patients by the government and so, insurance is there to a lot of extent but the importance is very less as compared to that of US.
- The regulations in place in US is very regimented. There are several policies and instruments in place to govern the health care set up. But in most of the countries there are limited policies and not so highly regimented as in the US.
With this any company which has a lot of systems in place, the ones which have greater exprience and has regulatory structure in play will be able to operate smoothly and not get into troubles.
So, operating in US is much more complicated than in most of the other countries.
