Please feel free to contact me to clarify things before you start

Section 1: Differentiated Activities Report

Prepare two teaching and learning modules (related to Mathematics) each based on the model of differentiated activities presented in class.

Please ensure that the report is clearly addressed to the Rubric given for this section (see attachments)

Section 2: Sandra Frid’s Learning Cycle.

(1500 words approx. or equivalent)

In this section you will need to experience teaching a small number of students or the whole class using the stipulated Sandra Frid’s Learning cycle (see attached documents).

You will also need to access them and collect samples of student’s work (work sheets to be attached for reference)

Also research for effective approaches for teaching, strategies to assess learning, diagnose student knowledge, possible misconceptions and learning needs.

Please read the attached learning cycle very carefully and ensure that the report is clearly addressed to the Rubric given for this Section-Sandra Frid’s Learning Cycle. (See attachments)

The report structure for this section can be as follows

  • Introduction that provides an overview of the Sandra Frid’s learning cycle. (This could be presented graphically.)This should include the need and value of the Sandra frid Learning model.
  • List down the background of the students used in the cycle.
  • Document and explain the topic, teaching approaches and assessment strategies used at the beginning and end of the learning cycle. (NB. These may be different.)
  • Include annotated samples of work from two students collected at the beginning of the cycle (If possible the two students should represent students with different levels of achievement or understandings of the concept). The annotations should include references to essential readings and Victorian Curriculum.
  • Document four learning activities that were used with the students. These should be from different stages of the learning cycle. Cite the source of these activities and justify the use of each activity by including references to essential readings.
  • Include annotated samples of work from two students collected at the end of the cycle. (These should be the same two students.) The annotations should include references to essential readings and the Victorian Curriculum.
  • Write and comment on your results and findings. Was the Learning model efficient and successful?? Justify your answer.
  • References your work appropriately.
