Leaders are able to become transformational when they are able to motivate, inspire and encourage their followers or junior employees. The leader in being transformational will be able to assist create change within an organization, increase innovation and creativity hence shape future success of the firm. A leader will become transformational if he is able to motivate the workforce to increase their productivity (Goetsch, & Davis, 2014). In addition, the leader must be in a position to inspire the workers to work hard and get meaning for their work. In motivating or inspiring the employees, performance would be met with rewards. In addition, the leader must be sensitive to the distinct needs of various employees and solve them at personal levels.

Q2 McGregor’s theory

The theory by McGregor that most employees get satisfaction in their jobs hence are motivated to work and needs to be involved in decision making at workplace is limited to an extent that job satisfaction is not the only motivation for employees. It is the case since, most people could be working at work stations or with organizations they dreamed of working for. However, the prevailing conditions of work in those institutions can lower their motivation (Bratton, & Gold, 2017). In addition, factors like work-life balance, remuneration and organizational culture are accumulative factors that motivate employees. Therefore, while job satisfaction motivate some employees, other factors like remunerations, rewards, recognition, health insurance cover among other go a long way to inspire other employees.
