2.0 Purpose
Thecourseexperienceconsistsoftwo majorlearningcomponents.Thefirstcomponentinvolvescommunicationandunderstandingofknowledge,toolsandtechniques.Thetextbookreadings,guestlecturersonbest practicesand/orcollaborativegroupreflectionsaroundbusinessliteraturecanaddtolearningsuchskills.
Thesecond involvesapplicationofknowledge,toolsandtechniques.Writtencases,assignmentsand/orgroupprojectscanassistindevelopingthis skill.
Ineachoftheseinstances,youwill be calledupontoaddressaproblemexistinginthecasecompany.Youwill beaskedtotakeanill-structuredproblemorsituationandconvertitintoawell-structuredproblemthatyouthenproceedtoresolvethroughyouranalysis,alternativesandrecommendation.Youwillbe askedtoactnotasastudent inthiscourse, but ratherasaneffectiveproblemsolverandasa manager.
