On 24 March 1980, I was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, and then raised in Marks, Mississippi were I graduated high school in 1998. Joined the workforce after graduation as an employee of one of the nation’s largest liquid cargo and dry cargo barge lines – American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL). Advance to the position of Senior Deck Hand before enlisting in the US Army as a 91H-Track Vehicle Repairer in 2004. After enlisting, I sought personal growth and development by pursuing and earning a General Studies Associate Degree from Central Texas College in my spare time. Completed my first commitment to the Army and Genral Studies (AS) in 2009, and then join the Army’s Green to Gold program to return to college, receive my baccalaureate degree, and earn a commission as an Army officer. Graduated from college at Texas A&M University-Central Texas, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 2011. Return to Leader Development and Assessment Course at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington as a Cadre Member from 21JUN 15 – 05 AUG15 after graduating and receiving commission as a Signal Officer. From Novemebr2011-March2012, I attended Signal Officer Basic Course – Class 001-12 at Fort Gordon, Georgia.

Served as the Communications Officer of 2nd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment from December 2013 and March 2015, consisting of five infantry troops and more than 750 Soldiers in support of garrison and combat operations at Rose Barracks, Germany. Led all aspects of communications through a multi-national CPX having a positive strategic impact overall strengthening our NATO partnership. As an advisor to the Signal Officers of 2nd and 6th Kandak, 1/205th Afghanistan National Army from December 2012 and December 2013, fulfilled the job of a Senior Captain with less than three years of experience. Work closely with S6 ANA Counterparts to establish reliable and robust communications throughout 2nd and 6th Kandak’s area of operations consisting of 10 combat outposts. I graduated above average from the Signal Captains Career Course – Class 007-15 on 02 September 2015, and then assumed my current position as a Communications Officer in 2-1 Infantry Battalion, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division.

Continued to seek personal growth and development by graduating from Webster University with a Master Degree in Information Technology Management in 2015. One of my greatest passions is computer security, where I focus on network security, compliance and operational security, threats and vulnerabilities, access control and identity management, and cryptography. I hold CompTIA Security+ certifications, and completed military educational courses in Standardized COMSEC Custodian and Local COMSEC Management Software (LCMS). My short-term goal is to complete SMU’s support candidate rigorous screening and selection process, become Airborne Qualified, and be assigned an Enabler positions in a unique organization. My long-term goal is to complete my initial service obligation to the assigned SMU and continue to seek personal growth in development in that operates on the leading edge of the Global Pursuit of Terrorists.

I am excited for the opportunity to work at the highest levels in contribution to the Global Pursuit of Terrorism and working with like-minding individuals as driven and unique as the missions they conduct. I look forward to working with you, and planning, maintaining and executing all aspects of communications as a support enabler for a special mission unit.
