Discssion: Why would most people rather be leaders than managers?

Leadership and managers

Most people would rather be leaders since in leadership they have followers who are given instructions on what to do and feed in returns of their actions. Leaders also work with team members to achieve a common course which was established by the management (Goetsch, & Davis, 2014).  Mangers have the responsibility of making policies and frameworks on how things should be done but rarely partake on the implementation. As such, in leadership, consultation and supervision on team members yields better results since damages can be detected earlier. Managers are also viewed to be too authoritative. However, best managers are those who take leadership roles and work with the rest of the team.
