Despite having intellectual rights, aren’t they only for certain time frames? How long are the different rights valid for? Why are they limited? Thoughts?

It is without the doubt that despite having intellectual’s rights, they are of certain frames. For instance, copyrights are usually renewed after 14 years, patent rights after 12vyras while trademarks after 20 years. The reason for this is because the state wants to be in a position to monitor the success of some business as well as that business that have collapsed (Maskus & Penubarti, 2015). By making sure that there are limited time frames for intellectuals’ rights, it is easy to find out how some businesses are performing. In addition, it is important in ensuring that the business is within its limit, For instance. a person may register  to sell cotton, but with time the person changes to cell phones, hence in order to ensure that all business people stick to what they registered to sell or deal with, the government ensures that they should renew their intellectuals rights from time to time  to avoid change of business or establishment of alternative businesses.
