Dear new form tutor,

Hello. My name is Esha and I will be in your form starting in September. I am sending this email to let you know what I am like and what I like (just as a heads up!) If I say so myself, I think that I am really good at both French and German and also Maths and English if you look at my results in the end of year examination in all four subjects. I really enjoy Music as I really like singing.

I don’t take any musical instruments lessons even though I really want to learn the piano. I used to learn the violin and the trombone. As I said before, I don’t learn anything but I can listen to a song three to four times and I will play the melody on the piano. No chords though. I also enjoy History because I like learning about the past. Especially the Ancient Greeks.

I am absolutely TERRIBLE at P.E. I can’t run and I am not good at throwing, jumping, hitting or catching. Practically anything physical. I am not great at 3D Design or Art as I can’t draw or cut with coping saws very well.

My choices for GCSE (hopefully! If my mind doesn’t change): Maths, Further Maths, English Literature, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, French, German and Drama (I wish I could take Music but you have to learn an instrument for that. Because I can’t do Music I wouldn’t do any creative subject but we have to. I would have liked to been able to study Media Studies though because I would choose that as a creative subject but we can’t so out of the remaining creative subjects – Art, 3D Design, P.E and Drama – I would choose Drama.)

I am really into KPOP (Korean Pop Music) like, BTS, iKON, NCT, EXO, DAY6, SEVENTEEN, ASTRO, TWICE, BLACKPINK, LOONA, Girls Generation (SNSD), Red Velvet, Stray Kids and BIGBANG. My favourite band is BTS. I am absolutely OBSESSED with them. BTS were at the BBMAs and they won ‘Top Social Artist’ beating Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber and many more by MILLIONS. They were also present at the AMAs and they performed their title track ‘DNA’ from their album ‘Love Yourself’ that was released mid-September 2017. They were also on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’ and ‘The Ellen Show’. They are the first ever KPOP group to go to American awards and win something and the first ever KPOP group to ever get onto an American talk show.

I really like manga and anime (Japanese comics and T.V programs) such as Yuri on Ice, Death Note, Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan), Another, Haikyuu, Free!, Fullmetal Alchemist, Ouran High School Host Club, Avatar the Last Airbender, The Legends of Korra and many more. I also really like watching KDramas. They are Korean Dramas. My favourites are: Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, Legend of the Blue Sea, Moonlovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, The Heirs, Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, Decendants of the Sun and many more. I also like to watch KMovies like Midnight Runners, and Twenty.

I watch a lot of YouTube. Rather than watching T.V, I watch music videos, interviews and talk shows (like BTS interviews and funny moments). I also watch a lot of VINE compilations because now VINE isn’t a thing anymore. My favourite YouTubers are IISuperwomanII (Lilly Singh), Liza Koshy, Jacksfilms (Jack Douglass), TheOdd1sOut (James Rallison), Domics (Dominic Panganiban), JaidenAnimations (Jaiden Dittfach), PlanetParle (Parle Patel), Steven Deng, FBE (Fine Brothers Entertainment), NigaHiga (Ryan Higa) and Bumble BTS.
