You are a bright, hard-working, entry-level
manager who fully intends to rise up through
the ranks. Your performance evaluation gives
you high marks for your technical skills, but
low marks when it comes to people skills. Do
you think people skills can be learned, or do
you need to rethink your career path? If people
skills can be learned, how would you go about
doing it?
Expert Answer
People skills comes with experience and can be improved if the person works hard over them. People skills include communication, leadership etc., These skills are required to sustain in some professions . While we can develop these skills, it is important for the person to have some qualities in him. If the person is not able to develop these skills in a certain period of time it would be better to change the profession. Much hardwork and patience is required and mingling with people gives us the experience needed to develop them. So it is very important to have the will to develop these skills.
