what tools and techniques are used by each level of leadership as described by Clawson and why are they chosen for their chosen level of leadership
Expert Answer
- Visible behaviour pattern
- Conscious Thought
- Values, assumptions, beliefs and expectations or the VABE
The leadership is based on the three parameters as the leadership starts with the managerial abilities of observing the behaviours of others and then influencing this behaviour to attain the motives as planned by the leaders. The second level is to influence the thought process by linking the minds of the people and appealing the activity based links between the intelligence. The third level is to create a group of culture specific group.
The first level of leadership is the visible behaviour pattern as no two individual can be treated with the same approach, the rewards and punishment are different for different people. In the first level the leadership has to choose the pattern in which each individual in the team have to be treated. The second level is to train the conscious thought process of the individual to act in accordance with the management principles set up the leader. Once the people comply to a conscious thought processes, the next is to categorize them into groups or families that work together as one respond to the same reward and refrain from the same punishments. The Third level outcomes are easily influenced by the commitment and enthusiasm of the leader, as they act in unison to the leadership. If there is observed variance in the approach to the people or the alignment of the leadership, the model will not work and it would become ineffective. The power that the leader has on the followers is dependent on the level of the leadership, the ability of the leader to influence, the followers willingness to follow him and the ability to get the response would help to design approach for the leaders.
