How can firms, nongovernment organizations (NGOs), and governments help to reduce the effect of globalization’s cons? Are there such efforts under way in the world now that you can identify?
Expert Answer
The cons mainly are,
1 the small/poorer/ under development country remains as it condition- As globalization allows to trade, move anywhere , everybody interested / intend to move or business in fast moving/ profitable countries only. so small/poorer/ undeveloped will remain undeveloped.
2 Cultural and environmental Decay- Though the cross country know how has increased due to globalization , other side basic identity is being loosed due to heavy immigration and polarization.
NGO/ firms are always has significant role in good governance. The NGO/ firms can contribute in policy making and implementation of policies at grass root level. In most of the countries the current governing system is not so robust to ensure the participation, still the NGO/ firms has to play consultation/ advocacy/ and monitoring role. Also NGO has a significant role in information / facts collection and awareness creation amongst the deficiencies/ end user of policies about globalization of respective country.
Various governments in the world are putting their efforts by reforming the laws and policies to overcome the cons of globalization.
