 Team productivity:

This issomething which has different dimesnions based on the business arena. In general productivity refers to better utilisation of the available resources in terms of their skill set and time. It should also mathcup with the cost the company invest on such resources. Team productivity refers to the (net output/ Net input). of all the team members put together.

For team to excel there should be a proper team colloboration, good guidance from the managers , better communication platform, proper alignment of work based on skill set and experience is required. Conflict resolution management is important and proper productivity tracking, ecnouraging discussions and collective opinions. In addition to that extracurricular involvement is also required to make the much more comfortable and create a positive environment all time. Team should be able to adapt with the changing conditions, acceptability for challenges etc.

To design teamwork it is better to understand the team strenght and weakness, # of resources, their skill set and experience. Firs the given work should match with the team members capability, then allocate work based on the requirement and a proper work division and reporting structure to be in place, communicate with them on regular basis and should prepare a team tracker for the same. Budget allocation, resource work breakdown, communication heirarchy, backuplans, other contingency plans to be involved in the teamwork designing. Then split the team members within the team based on the modules of work and collectively made them together for discussions and other knowledge sharing requirements.

Rewarding team work should be based on the effort they put together and the output which they created., Unique reward system can be proposed based on the budget and impact to the business. Motivate them to recognition and appreciation mails, give them cheer or reward points, create a case study of success and send to higher management as a part of visibility, reward through celebrating success through a party, appreciate them through token of gifts, promotion and career development opportunity, better exposure to next level assignment etc.
