Advantages of BYOD.

1. Organisations can cut technical costs as they have to spend very less on providing desktops to its employees.

2. As the employees are connected over internet and using their own personal devices, availabilty of employees get increases which leads to improve in business functionality.

3. As user(employee) uses his personal device he could install front end devices that he wants and work on it. It improves the user interface.

4. Technicians feels comfort and show their willing to work as thy feel free to work on their device.

5. As employees using his own device, he ensures to update the device to latest patch to have better performance.

Disadvantages of BYOD.

1. The first and foremost concern about BOYD is its credibility as it does not have proper monitoring system.

2. As devices have company information, higher authorities asks access for employee mobile devices, this can lead to technician unhappy as he may not like to access hispersonal information.

3. End user support is always not stable for the organisation to provide as employee use differnt devices according to his own choice.

Differences between company-issued devices and personal mobile devices:

1. Company provided devices may not have latest software versions to work on but using personal devices ensures employees to work on latest software patches.

2. All the devices provided by company have genuine software which have credibility, with using personal mobile devices this cannot be breached.

3. Company provided systems are more secured as they all have strong firewalls. Using personal devices, employee always connect and work on different networks.

4. Data integrity and data security is more with company provided devices and BYOD cannot guarntee this.

5. Wipe devices clean when employees quit or are terminated, this happens with BYOD.

6. With the emergency of cloud, transactions and monitoring is done securely. So this increases the scenario of BYOD.
