However, there are situations where plotting the summarized data instead of creating a simple table makes data interpretation more difficult.  one such example is using improper pi chart to respresnt some data or percentage. It becomes even worse when the the value or percentage are not mentioned. And in the worst case people use pi chart to represent >4 number of percentages where the difference between them is marginal. e.g. 

Using simple tabular form would have been more eye preasing and brain pleasing!!

Other example is the use of 3D graph. Use of simple 2D table is much option than this graph you are seeing below.
